Tony Quinn is a British-trained Physical Therapist and was awarded his degree by the University of Leeds, England. His career began at York District Hospital, in Yorkshire, England, where he worked on staff in the busy Orthopedic Rehabilitation unit. He has undergone rigorous post-graduate training in manual therapy and was certified in the McKenzie method of spinal and peripheral joint rehabilitation in 1999. He was awarded clinical certification in Lymphedema Treatment and management via the Norton School, and subsequent Advanced lymphedema management Certification via the Academy of Lymphatic studies. Tony has over 50,000 hours of clinical experience and has served the Lafayette community over the past 25 years, following recruitment to the area by a large local medical center.

Tony has presented widely to the Lafayette medical community as well as local support groups over the years. He has featured on the local Lafayette TV stations KATC and channel 10, and most recently was featured on KATCs “Spirit of Acadiana” Highlighting both his former professional sports and current physical therapy careers. His life journey was recently published in the American Physical Therapy Association magazines’ “Defining Moments” section. He describes his greatest achievement and pride simply as his “wonderful family.”

Born in Lincolnshire, England in 1965, like many Physical Therapists, Tony came in to the profession through the world of sport. He was formerly a thoroughbred steeplechase jockey for ten years, racing at venues throughout the British isles. This thrilling but perilous sport is not without injuries, and brought Tony into contact with the Physical Therapy profession, initially as a patient himself.

Tony has been in successful private practice here in Lafayette since 2001 with a strong ongoing commitment to deliver the highest quality rehabilitation experience possible.
